On October 6th, 2017, the Millay Colony for the Arts held its annual fundraising cocktail party at the home of Board Vice President Whitney Lawson. Poet/Advising Artists Council member Mark Wunderlich and alumna novelist Alexandria Marzano Lesnevich) read new work and discussed the impact of artists retreats on their lives and their work.The event raised some $8,000, all of which will go to residencies for artists, writers and composers from around the world, free arts education programs in our public schools, and stipends for artists from underserved communities.
