Valerie Paradiz is a writer and translator. She has published several books, including a memoir, Elijah’s Cup (Simon and Schuster/Free Press) and a narrative history of the literary women who made it possible for the Brothers Grimm to collect and publish fairy tales, Clever Maids (Perseus). She has also translated actor Klaus Kinski’s memoir, All I Need Is Love (Random House) and Ingeborg Bachmann’s radio play, The Good God of Manhattan (Continuum). She holds a PhD in German literature.
