Stephen Wangh, is a director, acting teacher, and the author of 15 plays. He was Associate Writer for The Laramie Project (Emmy nomination, 2002), a co-writer, of The People’s Temple (Glickman Award, 2006), and dramaturg of Moisés Kaufman’s Gross Indecency. His recent works include The Waiting Room, Silverthorne Theater, 2021; Waking Up, a ten-minute anxiety dream, Vermont Actors’ Reparatory Theatre, 2022; and Misconceptions, Blessed Unrest, New York City, 2023. His latest play, Jesus Wept, will open in Brattleboro, Vermont in February 2025. Steve is the author of two books about teaching acting: An Acrobat of the Heart, (Vintage Random House, 2000) and The Heart of Teaching (Routledge, 2012).
