Seema Yasmin is a queer Indian-Muslim poet, playwright, and novelist. She is the author of eight books including the children’s book Inshallah (Simon and Schuster, 2026), the middle grade series Muslim Mavericks (Simon and Schuster 2026), and the young adult abortion novel Unbecoming (Simon and Schuster, 2024). She is clinical assistant professor of medicine at Stanford University. She studied medicine at the University of Cambridge, journalism at the University of Toronto, and clown at The Clown School in Los Angeles.
