Rachel Sherman is a New York-based, Texas-raised writer whose work dislodges the stories that haunt our bodies and psyches. Her background as a journalist for The New York Times, a waitress, NGO worker, and as a yoga teacher, have made her a professional observer. She was named a 2020 FASPE (Fellowships at Auschwitz for the Study of Professional Ethics) journalism fellow, and in 2021 was part of a Times investigative team that won the Pulitzer Prize for Public Service. Her features and essays have run in Arts & Leisure, on the cover of Weekend Arts, and on the front page of The New York Times. She is working on her debut novel.
