Perry Levitch’s poems have appeared, or are forthcoming, in Best New Poets 2024, the New England Review, the Southeast Review, The Columbia Review, and others. They are a Pushcart Prize and Best of the Net nominee, and their work has been supported by Tin House Workshop.
Perry received an MFA in Poetry from New York University in 2023. While at NYU, they were Poetry Editor of Washington Square Review. They received their BA from Barnard College, where they studied under Saskia Hamilton.
Currently, Perry is an English PhD student at Brown University. They study how contemporary transpoetics are uniquely leveraged to intervene in overly calcified language about the body, with a specific focus on the shift in the field over the last ten years away from testimonial and towards abstraction.
