“I have been living in New York since I left London in the early 90s, I have been exhibiting and teaching since my MFA from Parsons School of Design in 1993. Frequently I develop work on private property that has been awarded to me by various patrons. My large-scale projects have been exhibited at numerous venues, including Socrates Sculpture Park NYC, Turchin Center North Carolina, The Lipe Park Syracuse, Rural Projects Ancram N.Y, Art Austerlitz, Austerlitz N.Y., and Millay Arts. I was a NYFA fellow in 1997 and have since been awarded grants from The Artist Fellowship, The Haven Foundation, and The Pat Hearn and Colin DeLand Foundation between 2011 and 2013. I have been nominated twice for The Rema Hort Mann Foundation in 2008 and 2009. I have been an artist in residence at Skowhegan School of Art, Triangle Residency in Brooklyn New York, Solaqua Art Center, and Rural Projects, both in upstate New York, and Arts Letters and Numbers in Averill Park N.Y. Besides teaching at Pratt Institute for over 15 yrs, I have taught sculpture and drawing at Parsons School of Design, Rutgers College, SUNY Purchase, and Cornell University in the Architecture and Planning Department. I also had the pleasure of co-teaching with Judy Phaff at Bard College.”
