Maria Damon is a Professor of Humanities and Media Studies at Pratt Institute of Art. She is the author of two books of poetry scholarship, Dark End of the Street: Margins in American Vanguard Poetry (American Culture) and Postliterary America: From Bagel Shop Jazz to Micropoetries (Contemp American Poetry); two chapbooks of textilic visual poems, Meshwards and XXX; co-author (with mIEKAL aND, Adeena Karasick, Jukka-Pekka Kervinen and Alan Sondheim) of several books and chapbooks of poetry; and co-editor (with Ira Livingston) of Poetry and Cultural Studies: A Reader.
