Margaret Funkhouser holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Washington University in St. Louis and a BA in Dance and American Studies from Wesleyan University. She has taught at Bryant University and Washington University, where she was also the 2002–2003 Writer-in-Residence. She has been the recipient of an Academy of American Poets Prize, an E. E. Ford Award for Exceptional Merit in Teaching, and a fellowship from the Boston Athenaeum. Her poems have appeared in Boston Review, The Paris Review, Pleiades, and elsewhere.
