Lisa Russell (1959–2024) was an artist from Braintree, Massachusetts. She earned her BFA from the Massachusetts College of Art and continued her studies at the School of the Museum at Tufts University, where she received her MFA. For 25 years, she was a professor at Rhode Island College, where she inspired students with her insight and expertise in the world of art. Her paintings have been exhibited all over, including at the Guggenheim Museum, the Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum, the Whitney Museum, and many more museums and galleries across the United States.
