A first–generation kid raised in Yonkers, New York, Lisa Kors’s love of storytelling was shaped by a dad who played handball at the gym with FBI guys named “Bullet-Eye Phil” and a social worker mom whose clients kept finding dead bodies on the job. (Yonkers was a big garbage mafia town back then, so maybe not so weird…?) It was a childhood that introduced her early to the power of storytelling.

Today, Lisa is an award-winning writer/director/producer whose scripts have been optioned by Alcon, Escape Artists, and Little Engine. Her first film premiered at Telluride and her work has screened around the world.

She’s written and produced for Netflix, Disney, Paramount, Bravo, and Meta. Her work is often based on true stories or existing IP.

She especially likes writing about good women who make bad choices for excellent reasons.
