Lia Ouyang Rusli is a film composer and musician making solo music under the moniker OHYUNG. Her work brings together ambient soundscapes, harsh noise, and euphoric pop to create her own kaleidoscopic sound.
Her debut album Untitled (Chinese Man with Flame) was released in 2018, followed by PROTECTOR, released by Chinabot in 2020. In 2021, she collaborated with drummer Matt Evans on GODLESS (Deathbomb Arc). Her ambient record imagine naked! came out that same year with label NNA, and was listed as one of the Best Records of 2022 by NPR. Her next album, You Are Always On My Mind, came out in 2025 from NNA and Phantom Limb.
She has also written music for films for over a decade, developing a unique composition style inspired by minimalist, avant-garde, and electronic music composers., She has composed music for critically acclaimed projects including TV miniseries Fantasmas (HBO, 2024) and the film Problemista (A24, 2024), both created by Julio Torres, and the films Bruiser (Hulu, 2022), Happyend (Metrograph Pictures, 2025), and Sorry, Baby.
