Key is a Syrian Mvskoke gender plural writer. They have had short stories and essays published in Diagram, Mizna, and The Rumpus, among others, and have won awards or honors for her fiction from The Cincinnati Review, Fourteen Hills, Willow Springs, and elsewhere. The recipient of a Creative Writing fellowship in Prose from the National Endowment for the Arts in 2024, and a Literature grant from the Massachusetts Cultural Council in 2026, Key holds a PhD in Creative Writing and is currently at work on a novel about the surveillance state.
