Jim Ringley is a painter of visual poems. Using a collage-based technique and nostalgic imagery, Ringley creates spaces and places previously unknown to the viewer often incorporating different styles within the same picture. Ringley’s paintings and prints have a kinesthetic sense of metaphor as we move through strange and exciting landscapes, observing familiar objects.

Jim Ringley’s work is in the collections of the Arkansas Art Center, Little Rock, The San Diego Art Institute, San Diego, California, The Spencer Museum of Art, Lawrence, Kansas, the Springfield Art Museum, Missouri, and the University of Colorado, Boulder.
