Jessie Seigel’s fiction has appeared in Ontario Review, The Pen Woman, Gargoyle, and Daily Science Fiction, as well as the anthologies Electric Grace, Furious Gravity, and the London Reader, among others. Seigel has twice been awarded an Individual Artist’s Fellowship from the DC Commission on the Arts & Humanities. Her work has been a finalist for a Speculative Literature Foundation Grant and the 47th New Millennium Writing Awards as well as a semi-finalist for The William Faulkner – William Wisdom Creative Writing Competition for the Novel and twice for the Eludia Award (for novels). Seigel’s play, Tinkers Damn, has received two professional staged readings in the Rose Theatre’s New Play Development Series. Seigel has an MA in writing from the Johns Hopkins University, is an associate fiction editor at the Potomac Review and writes a political column at My Washington Whispers.
