For her installations, Cologne-based media artist Gudrun Barenbrock uses both film and photographic material, which she precisely places in selected spaces. Her subjective-minimalist works oscillate between concreteness and abstraction, often in collaboration with sound artists and musicians. This creates dynamic pictorial landscapes that usurp the space and unfold a strong sensual presence in the immediate experience.
