Emily was born and raised in a Seattle suburb and moved to New York City to attend NYU’s Experimental Humanities in 2019. She is a 2025 graduate of NYU’s Low Residency MFA program, spending part of each year in Paris, and in July 2026, she attended the One Story Workshop and Conference. Emily writes literary fiction and is especially interested in stories inspired by real life, where fact is stranger than fiction. When she is not writing, Emily is either reading from her never-ending To Be Read pile or watching terrible movies.
