William Mead received his BFA at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia and his MFA at the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, Maryland. He also attended the Skowhegan School of Painting & Sculpture in Maine and received consecutive fellowships to the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown, Massachusetts. Mead currently lives and paints in Woodstock, New York.
