Barrett Watten is a poet, critic, editor, and publisher. His publications include his collected early poems, Frame: 1971–1990 (Sun & Moon, 1997); a non-narrative prose poem, Bad History (Atelos, 1998); and Progress/Under Erasure (Green Integer, 2004). He co-edited, with Robert Grenier, This, one of the central publications of the L=A=N=G=U=A=G=E school of poetry (1971–1982), and co-edited Poetics Journal with Lyn Hejinian. He is a professor of English at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan.
