Allie is a genderless Jewish writer and teacher originally from Virginia, as well as a graduate of the Oberlin College Creative Writing Program and the Helen Zell Writers Program at the University of Michigan. Allie was the recipient of a Hopwood Prize in Fiction as well as a Zell Fellowship from the University of Michigan. They currently teach at the Penny W. Stamps School of Art and Design, where they received the Stamps School Award for Lecturer Excellence. They currently live in Ypsilanti, Michigan with their wife, baby and lucky black cat.
