Alix (Alexandra) Marello holds a Master’s degree in Screenwriting from the University of Southern California and a BA in English from Skidmore College. She is currently in development with two short films that are going into production with an Oscar-winning producer later this year.
While at USC, she received an academic mentorship with Celine Song, writer/director of the Oscar nominated film Past Lives. In addition, her feature-length screenplay was accepted into the Austin Film festival in the Fall of 2024. She was commissioned to write several plays and screenplays for companies such as Saratoga Performing Arts Center and was a staff writer for an Amazon Prime television series. She has also been the recipient of David Letterman’s Playwriting Residency, where her written play was displayed at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and was performed off-Broadway at Abington Theater. She has been the recipient of several national awards, including the Scholastic Gold Key Award. She was also a selected storyteller for NPR’s The Moth.
