SARAH AZIZA (Nonfiction, 2023: Asian American Writers Workshop Margins Fellow) on her very prestigious United States Artists Fellowship!

Sarah Aziza (she/هي ) is a Palestinian American writer, translator, and artist with roots in ‘Ibdis and Deir al-Balah, Gaza. She is the author of The Hollow Half. Winner of the Palestine Book Awards, The Hollow Half is a genre-bending work of memoir, lyricism, and oral history exploring the intertwined legacies of diaspora, colonialism, and the American dream.

ALEX MARZANO-LESNEVICH (Nonfiction, 2011) on their very prestigious 2025 Whiting Prize and 2026 Creative Capital Award! (And all this after also beng awarded a United States Artists Fellowship in 2023.)
